Never underestimate the power of healthy living. A wholistic approach to stress management is fundamental to maintaining a healthy response to stress. The good news is, it’s not rocket science! We got this!
We know what to do. Get sufficient sleep, eat a nutritious diet, do some sort of movement or exercise. This is the foundation of a healthy life, and healthy stress response.
But, sometimes maintaining this kind of healthy lifestyle can be difficult. Fortunately, there are herbal allies we can consider incorporating which may help.
Sleep
One of our favorite botanical blends to help ease anxiety after a hectic day is California poppy, lemon balm, and chamomile. This combination is so soothing, and a great way to calm our stress response.
Nutrition
While not actually a botanical, spirulina is a great option if you’re not getting all the nutrition you need in your diet. And just to be clear, certainly eating a healthy diet is absolutely recommended. This is just for those time when perhaps you’re not getting the recommended 7-9 servings of vegetables per day.
Spirulina is a blue-green algae incredibly rich in antioxidants, protein, minerals and so much more. It truly does help fill the nutritional gaps.
